The Center for Risk Management and Decision Processes at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for one postdoctoral fellowship position in decision making and risk management as applied to natural or technological hazards, terrorism and/or climate change. Applicants will work with the Center’s directors, Howard Kunreuther, Robert Meyer, and Erwann Michel-Kerjan, as well as other post-docs, on a variety of on-going funded projects in these areas, as well be expected to undertake original research.
Applicants should have strong analytic backgrounds, and are welcome to apply from a variety of fields, including behavioral science, environmental science, economics, insurance, psychology, and sociology.
Location: Philadelphia, PA – USA
Starting date: Summer 2012
Length: 1 year (with possibility of renewal)

For nearly three decades, the Center for Risk Management and Decision Processes at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania has been at the forefront of basic and applied research to promote effective corporate and public policies for low probability events with potentially catastrophic consequences.
