Executive Education at l'X
Tatiana Defrance, Executive Director of École Polytechnique’s Executive Education comes back to the three first years of the program’s existence and discloses the upcoming projects.
Can you tell us about the inception of the Executive Education and its first years?
École Polytechnique’s Executive Education was created three years ago and strengthens each year its position on the executive education market. Our offer is based on disruptive technologies, sciences, innovation management and transformation driving. We are working with companies to identify their objectives in order to meet their needs with the Executive Education. We position ourselves as a bond between researchers, teachers and companies: a lever to favor the link between the academic world and the corporate one. Nowadays, the offer is made up of more than 100 programs of which 24 are certificate-awarding. We are planning to launch four new programs by the end of the year in the fields of energy transition, innovation in the 4.0 industries, additive manufacturing and webmarketing.
In regard to the internationalization of the Executive Education, the Executive Master is our most international degree program. The Executive Master is the sole degree course of the Executive Education and focuses on international aspects. Participants have the opportunity to expand their understanding of management in an international and technological business setting in different economic and cultural environments. The Executive Master is divided into 4 fields of study: Development, Technology, Management and Innovation and consists of 12 modules of which 3 are international (Asia, Europe and the USA).
Which new Executive Education projects are you planning to implement at l'X?
We develop our offer within École Polytechnique’s and its partners ecosystem to pursue our activity’s growth which exceeds 30% every year. We welcome more and more participants: 2500 in 2016 and 4500 in 2017. We develop our e-learning programs and collaborate with international universities like UM6P in Morocco to teach Data Science or Entrepreneurship in Renewable Energies. We also work with companies like BNP Cardif based around the world to develop data scientists’ skills at the international level (in Europe, Latin America, and Asia).
