First round of application opens for the Bachelor Program for 2018 - 2019
The first application round for admission to École Polytechnique’s Bachelor Program opened on October 10th, 2017. This three-year undergraduate degree aims to recruit the most talented international students and to attract French baccalaureate students who are looking for high-level international experience.
Candidates have until November 21st to submit their application file online, on the dedicated website. They will be selected in accordance with international standards and have to submit an online application file including an academic file (with their transcript, copies of degrees and results of final exams), two references/persons who may recomend the student, a cover letter and a resume.
A second round of admission will be held from January 9th to February 20th, 2018 to fill the remaining places from the first application round.

Shortlisted candidates will undergo an oral examination in two parts aimed at verifying their knowledge in mathematics, their motivation as well as their English level.
Learn more about the Bachelor program: a multidisciplinary scientific curriculum focused on mathematics and computer science
The École Polytechnique Bachelor is focused on sciences provided by its professors-researchers in an excellent international environment. Each curriculum is based on a multidisciplinary scientific common core with a preponderance of mathematics. Throughout their training course, students benefit also from social and human sciences, languages and sport lessons.
During their 2nd and 3rd years, students get the choice between three double majors:
- Mathematics & Computer science
- Mathematics & Physics
- Mathematics & Economics
The primary purpose of the Bachelor Program is to open the door to various Master’s and graduate degree programs, including École Polytechnique’s Graduate Degree and École Polytechnique’s PhD Program. The Bachelor Program may also be an opportunity to join the Ingénieur Polytechnicien Program. The Bachelor Program is entirely taught in English and aims at recruiting 160 students per year, of which at least 50% are expected to be international students.
