L’X enters into an artificial intelligence partnership with Enedis

On Wednesday, May 30, 2018, l’X and Enedis signed a partnership on artificial intelligence.

École Polytechnique established a partnership with Enedis, the electricity distribution network manager, on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. Present at the signing were Jean-Bernard Lartigue, Executive Director of the École Polytechnique Foundation; Frank Pacard, Provost of École Polytechnique; Jean Paoletti, Regional Director of Enedis for Île-de-France East; and Dominique Lagarde, Director of the Enedis Electrical Mobility Program.

This alliance between Enedis and École Polytechnique demonstrates the wish of the two partners to work hand in hand on artificial intelligence. L'X is already very involved in the research and education of the domain, and, as for Enedis, the company intends to strengthen its matrix of external collaborators specializing in artificial intelligence, including, of course, École Polytechnique.

A partnership formed around the l’X Graduate Degree Program in Artificial Intelligence

This cooperative effort between Enedis and l'X aims to offer financial support to students of the Graduate Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Visual Computing at École Polytechnique. By entering into the partnership, Enedis joins a circle of collaborators in industry that support this program of excellence. The company will fund three student scholarships for the class of 2018-2020, the first year group to graduate from the course. 

As part of the alliance, Enedis will propose scientific projects for students of the Artificial Intelligence and Visual Computing Graduate Degree Program. The projects offered will focus on operational issues that Enedis intends to challenge in order to facilitate the daily work of its employees and strengthen services intended for clients.
