L'X signs a cooperation agreement with the Higher School of Economics

On October 18th, École Polytechnique and the Higher School of Economics of Russia signed a cooperation agreement aimed at fostering academic cooperation, strengthening scientific and academic exchange opportunities and promoting international understanding.

The signing ceremony took place in Moscow at the French Embassy in Russia in the presence of École Polytechnique's former students and researchers from l'X and HSE. Benoit Deveaud, Vice Provost for Research of École Polytechnique and Ivan Prostakov, Vice-Rector Responsible for International Relations of HSE signed a coorepation agreement aimed at developing academic and scientific cooperation in the fields of education and research.

The two universities, both leading institutions of their countries, have maintained close relations for several years in the field of research.

On this occasion, Alexey Naumov, Associate Professor, Head of the International l’X - HSE laboratory of Stochastic Algorithms and Multivariate Data Analysis created earlier this year under the leadership of Eric Moulines (Professor at the Center of Applied Mathematics, École Polytechnique, France) and Alexey Naumov (HSE), presented the commun scientific projects and the activity of the laboratory.

Moreover, Charles Favre, President of Laurent Schwartz Mathematics Center of École Polytechnique and Visiting Professor at HSE presented l’X-HSE scientific and academic collaboration. 

This event gathered together École Polytechnique Alumni living and working in Moscow.
