L'X will host the Fujitsu Center of Excellence on Artificial Intelligence

The Japanese giant Fujitsu announced on Thursday, March 9th, 2017, the creation of a center of excellence dedicated to artificial intelligence at École Polytechnique. The Fujitsu teams will work with the research laboratories of l'X and with the start-ups housed in La Fibre Entrepreneur - Drahi - X Novation Center.

On March 9th, 2017, Fujitsu announced an investment of more than 50 million euros over five years to support digital innovation in France. In this context, the Japanese giant has chosen École Polytechnique to create a center of excellence dedicated to Artificial Intelligence.

Machine learning, deep learning and natural language processing

This openness aims to develop new services and acquire new technologies by promoting scientific cooperation on key research topics in France and in particular with the research laboratories of École polytechnique. These topics will focus mainly on machine learning, deep learning and Natural Language Processing. The activities of this Fujitsu Center of Excellence will focus on predictive analytics and other data analysis technologies in order to address critical business issues. In addition, the center will offer solutions in the field of the Internet of things, digital marketing, or corporate security, more specifically specialized in retail and industry.

Contribute to the development of a talent pool in digital

The Center of Excellence will provide start-ups supported at the Drahi X-Novation center, the heart of the innovative ecosystem of École Polytechnique, with the opportunity to participate in development projects. It will also be able to accommodate students and interns of l'X. They will be able to participate in research projects based on real customer issues, to train on advanced technologies and to develop skills sought by companies.
