Nuclear fusion to produce clean energy
François Amiranoff, Director of Research at the CNRS working at the Laboratory of the Use of Intense Lasers, presents his research on nuclear fusion in three minutes in this first "Labshot" video.
The first episode of the show entitled "Labshot" is on "Nuclear fusion to produce clean energy". François Amiranoff, Director of Research at the CNRS working at the Laboratory of the Use of Intense Lasers (Laboratoire d'Utilisation des Lasers Intenses or LULI - joint research unit between École Polytechnique, CNRS, UPMC and CEA), is conducting his research on high-intensity laser-matter interaction and its applications, particularly the production of energy by laser fusion and particle acceleration.
"Labshot" videos present the research conducted in École Polytechnique 22 laboratories. Scientists from École Polytechnique Research Center have three minutes to present one aspect of their work, how it is done in their laboratory and the possible applications. A new "Labshot" video will be put online every 2 month.
