Some participants are worried about the current situation in Paris, and the security of participants. The situation is in fact very far from what can be read in newspapers: riots are limited to small parts of the suburbs, far from Paris, and only happen during the evening and the night. The life in Paris itself is completely normal. The Ecole Polytechnique and the hotel locations are close to Paris in the South, so that the participants should not even realize that there are problems in other suburbs, if these problems were to continue.
