Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Sachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt
and Thuringen), Switzerland. The winner team will advance to
the ACM Programming Contest World Finals, where it will
compete with students selected in other regional contests,
from all continents.
The Eligibility rules have changed, check the new rules in the "Regulation" menu.
This year, SWERC will take place in the Ecole Polytechnique
at Palaiseau, 20 kms south west of Paris, from 19th to 20st November
2005.
Some participants are worried about the
current situation in Paris, and the security of participants.
The situation is in fact very far from what can be read in
newspapers: riots are limited to small parts of the suburbs, far from
Paris, and only happen during the evening and the night. The life in
Paris itself is completely normal. The Ecole Polytechnique and the
hotel locations are close to Paris in the South, so that the
participants should not even realize that there are problems in other
suburbs, if these problems were to continue.
