L’X ranked 17 in mathematics by QS World University Rankings
The new QS World University Rankings by subject was published on April 29, 2015. École Polytechnique is ranked 17 in mathematics, gaining six places, and 24 in physics, gaining twenty-two places.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject, published on April 29, 2015, based on the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) World University Rankings which is published at the beginning of the academic year, highlight the world’s top universities in 36 individual subjects, based on academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact.
In this ranking, École Polytechnique distinguishes itself in mathematics where it is ranked 17. L’X thus gains six places in comparison with 2014 when it was ranked 21.
In physics, École Polytechnique is ranked 24 versus 46 in 2014, gaining 22 places.
Altogether, four French universities and seven grandes écoles in France appear among the 50 first institutions ranked in 36 subjects.
