Three alumni of l'X among the Best-Performing CEOs in the World
Harvard Business Review's Top 100 of "The Best-Performing CEOs in the World 2017" honored three alumni of École Polytechnique this year.
Fourteen French appear in the 2017 ranking of the Harvard Business Review including three alumni of École Polytechnique: Bernard Arnault (X 1969), owner of LVMH, is ranked in 5th position in the general ranking and is second among the French CEOs; Xavier Huillard (X 1973), President of Vinci, appears at the 36th position (and is the 7th French distinguished CEO); as for Jean-Laurent Bonnafé (X 1981), at the head of BNP Paribas, he won the 99th position and joined for the first time this top 100 (14th among the French companies' leaders).
Therefore, France occupies the second position, behind the United States (with 38 leaders). Next come Japan (9), Great Britain (5), Germany (3) and China (3).
The particularity of the ranking is that beyond the financial results, it also takes into account the impact of each company from an environmental, social and governance (ESG) point of view.
