The 3rd edition of X-Afrique Forum will take place at l'X on March, 10
Students from X-Afrique association organize a unique meeting between different actors of African development: start-ups, investors and economic partners, but also researchers, political figures and think tanks.
The third edition of the Forum will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 in the Grand Hall of École Polytechnique. This year, the topic of the event organized by the students from X-Afrique association is: "New technologies at the service of Africa". The association brings together African students and lovers of Africa with the aim of highlighting the African culture and entrepreneurship in Africa through various events during the year.
X-Afrique Forum aims at promoting entrepreneurship in Africa, about twenty start-ups will present their projects with an African focus during the event.
The development of the African continent is driven by new technologies in terms of economy, education, health and culture. Which role do new technologies play in African growth? How to take advantage of this era of new technologies? How do we appropriate it and adapt it to our real needs in Africa? These and many other questions will be discussed during two round tables "How will Africa succeed in its own energy transition?" and "Entrepreneurship in Africa: innovation or recycling of imported ideas?", but also conferences and exhibitions of start-ups.
Experts like Valérie Levkov, Managing Director, EDF Africa and Middle East, Bruno Bensasson, Managing Director, Engie Africa, Ousseynou Nakoulima, Director of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency at the African Development Bank, Henri Boyé, Expert Consultant in Energy and Development, Valérie-Noelle Kodjo Diop, Head of Innovation and Alternative Banking Models for the African Region at Societe Generale, Samir Abdelkrim, author of Startup Lions: At the Heart of African Tech and Leyth Zniber, Founder of Impact Lab (Incubator for projects with high social impact) and NUMA Casablanca (Fond VC), will debate the issues related to the technological development in Africa.
