Laser Optics Matter
The Master "Laser optical material" (LOM) addresses the major areas of optics, light-matter interaction and properties of matter (atoms, molecules, solids, plasmas). It focuses on the aspects of nonlinear physics (lasers, nonlinear electromagnetism) and the quantum properties of matter interacting with light. The programme addresses both fundamental, theoretical and experimental aspects, and applications. The programme is constructed on a common core (from September to December) to allow students to take elective courses and a second period(period Jan-February based on) more specific courses in major areas such as ultra-intense lasers and X-ray sources, nanophotonics and optoelectronics, atomic and molecular physics, quantum optics, biophysics, imaging ... the second semester is devoted to an internship with a minimum duration of 4 months.
Students are mainly expected to carry on with a PhD (about 75% of the students). The other job openings are in Research and Development (R & D),

Prerequisite: open to the best national and international students with a bachelor, licence (L3), or Engineer students completing their training in the field physics.
