By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Identify and use different types of multimedia educational content (video, audio, visual, interactive) based on their intended purposes;
- Leverage generative AI tools to design educational content (brainstorming, reformulating, transforming materials);
- Script a multimedia educational resource (narrative structure, storyboard, script) tailored to a specific learning objective;
- Produce and enhance simple multimedia content (video, audio, or visual), while considering essential technical constraints (sound, image quality, readability, editing);
- Adopt a critical and responsible stance regarding the use of generative AI (reliability, biases, rights, pedagogical integration).
Description
The use of multimedia educational content (videos, audio, infographics, interactive materials) has expanded significantly with the rise of hybrid and distance learning. Today, the integration of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools is further transforming these practices by simplifying the creation, adaptation, and distribution of educational resources.
These multimedia resources enable diverse learning modalities and enhance learner engagement through formats such as video tutorials, podcasts, enriched visual materials, and interactive activities. They can be deployed in various contexts, including flipped classrooms, microlearning, remediation, and self-directed learning.
This training offers a comprehensive and practical approach to designing, producing, and integrating multimedia educational content while critically and effectively leveraging generative AI tools.
The pedagogical, creative, technical, and ethical dimensions of these practices will be explored through presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
