The innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem of École Polytechnique and Institut Polytechnique de Paris bring together students, faculty members, entrepreneurs, and companies to develop or accelerate their technology-intensive projects. In 2021, a new major player joined this mission: Polytechnique Ventures, an investment fund created by alumni of l’X.
The entrepreneurship and innovation hub, the Drahi-X Novation Center, supports project leaders through its incubation program for "early stage" start-ups X-Up, its incubator for mature start-ups X-Tech and its facilities for hosting intrapreneurial projects for companies.
Inaugurated in 2015, the Drahi-X Novation Center offers a 5,200 m2 space entirely dedicated to entrepreneurship and innovation, including 1,000 m2 dedicated to prototyping. It has directly supported more than 100 start-ups since its creation.
The ecosystem formed by École Polytechnique and the Plateau de Saclay community, one of the world's 10 largest innovation clusters, has seen the emergence of more than 350 start-ups since 2010.
