Should I create an account-reader to access my file ?
If you are a student or employee at Polytechnique, a reader-account was automatically created upon your arrival at the school. You have received an email from the BCX asking for clarification to finalize your registration.
For external visitors, registration conditions apply. Contact the secretariat.

Where can I access my reader-account ?
On the home page of the library, click . Enter your identification and then you will have access to your account history, the situation of your loans and return dates. You can also renew your loans or make reservations.

Can I renew my loans online ?
Yes, from your reader-account and up to ten days after the due date of your loan. However, if the book you want to renew is already booked, you have to report it on time.

What we found on the library website ?
News, catalog of available books, useful electronic resources, a calendar for booking spaces, practical information, virtual exhibits, training in documentary research as MOOC and many other surprises .

The book or article I want is not at BCX. How to get it ?
The BCX offers Interlibrary Loan service. Simply click on the link and complete the form with as much information (primarily the author name, book title or section (and review), edition year). You will receive an email when your application has been processed, so you can pick up your document to the BCX.
You can also make a purchase suggestion. If your application is deemed relevant to the resources of the BCX, it will be taken into account.

I want to submit my thesis to BCX. How to do ?

Since 1 January 2016, the doctoral students who support their thesis in graduate schools of the University of Paris-Saclay are obliged to the electronic filing of their thesis at the time of their defense. At Polytechnique, BCX is in charge of reporting, archiving and, when appropriate, dissemination electronically in HAL Pastel, theses carried out within the institution or in cooperation with another graduate school. If you are going to hold your thesis, you can contact Denis Roura for procedures related to electronic filing of your thesis. I can not access electronic resources. A login and password are requested.

Access to electronic resources is possible from the IP network of the school. Some resources were nomadic access under certain conditions. To find out if you can get it, contact Denis Roura.
