By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Experiment with teaching and learning activities based on ludopedagogy;
  • Explore concrete ways to integrate ludopedagogy into their teaching practice.

Description

Game-based learning (ludopedagogy) can be defined as "the set of playful activities implemented by an educator to foster learning in others, whether in formal or informal contexts" (Lavigne, 2022). It offers educators a powerful tool to create engaging learning environments that promote positive emotions.

In this workshop, participants will experience various ludopedagogy-based activities. Individual and group reflection sessions will enable each participant to explore ways to transform their teaching practice and integrate game-based learning.
