PhD students from École polytechnique laboratories in the spotlight at MT180
The final of Institut Polytechnique de Paris' Ma Thèse en 180 secondes competition took place on Wednesday April 2 at École Polytechnique. Amélie Kies, doctoral student at the Applied Optics Laboratory (LOA*), Laure Corazza, doctoral student at the Dynamic Meteorology Laboratory (LMD*), Maxime Vigoureux from the Organic Synthesis Laboratory (LSO*) and Louis Berthier, from the Center for Applied Mathematics (CMAP*) were rewarded.

AI Summit: The road to trustworthy Artificial Intelligence
As part of the “AI, Science and Society” conference organised by Institut Polytechnique de Paris on February 6 and 7, 2025, the “Road to Trustworthy AI” symposium addressed the issue of trust in artificial intelligence systems. Between the need to avoid bias, promote fairness and transparency while preserving the privacy of personal data, several specialists provided their insights.

An international scientific conference will be held on February 6 and 7 at École Polytechnique, focusing on the impact of the development of artificial intelligence on science and society. Samsung Healthcare acquires a start-up spun off from École Polytechnique’s research
Sonio, the result of mathematical research carried out at the Centre for Applied Mathematics (CMAP), is developing a solution to support practitioners in the conduct of fetal ultrasound and antenatal diagnosis. Automated with the help of artificial intelligence, this tool aims to detect anomalies in real time, or after the examination to remove any doubt. Launched in 2020, its acquisition by the medical subsidiary of Korean giant Samsung has just been finalized.
