Cybersecurity & Defense Day at École Polytechnique
École Polytechnique hosted the Cybersecurity & Defense Day, which brought together major players in cybersecurity and defense from academia, institutions, and industry. The event was organized by the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, of which École Polytechnique is a founding member, in partnership with the Interdisciplinary Center for Defense and Security Studies (CIEDS) and the IHEDN Chair in Cybersecurity and Digital Sovereignty, which is affiliated with the Institut des Hautes Études de Défense Nationale through its endowment fund.

L’X hosts a delegation of American Universities administrators
As part of the Fulbright FIEA program, a delegation of administrators from fourteen American universities visited École Polytechnique on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. This visit was part of a tour to discover French higher education. It also gave the delegation the opportunity to meet two Fulbright scholarship recipients who are currently studying at École Polytechnique.

L’X reinforces Cooperation with the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute
École Polytechnique welcomed a delegation from the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute of the National Technical University of Ukraine on campus on September 22nd, 2025. To deepen their collaboration, Laura Chaubard, President of École Polytechnique, and Anatolii Melnychenko, Rector of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at fostering academic and scientific cooperation. École Polytechnique has also secured Erasmus+ funding to support international mobility with the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, further strengthening this new partnership.

A carbon nanotube-based superconducting quantum bit
In the journal Nature Communications, the QCMX team at the Laboratory of Condensed Matter for Physics (PMC*) demonstrates the operation of the first superconducting quantum circuit to feature a carbon nanotube. This hybrid system is a first step in the exploration of exotic low-dimensional physical phenomena.
