The Erasmus+ program builds on more than 30 years of successful European Union programs in the fields of education, training, and youth, covering both the intra-European and international cooperation dimensions. The program promotes mobility actions in Europe and internationally for students (periods of study or internship), research professors, and administrative staff of higher education institutions.
Erasmus+ and l'X
In 2020, École Polytechnique has been granted membership to the Erasmus program for the period 2021-2027 and the new Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). Declaration of École Polytechnique’s international strategy for the Erasmus program 2021-2027.
By signing this charter, École Polytechnique commits to respect its European principles and requirements and to contribute to the objectives of modernization and internationalization of higher education. The institution also commits to :
- ensure equal opportunities for mobility beneficiaries (non-discrimination and inclusion)
- ensure the recognition of the achievements of the activities carried out within the framework of the Erasmus+ program
- promote the implementation of the European Student Card Initiative
- encourage participants to adopt environmentally friendly practices
- promote civic engagement and active citizenship of Erasmus+ participants

Each year, École Polytechnique participates in the program "Mobility of students, teachers, and staff in higher education" (KA 103) within the member countries of the program.
École Polytechnique has also been granted mobility credits for international exchange with four partner institutions based in Russia and the Middle East.
Accompanying people with special needs (disability or health problems requiring specific support)
The Erasmus + program aims to promote equity and inclusion by facilitating access for people whose situation could limit or prevent their participation in transnational activities.
Additional support is therefore offered to all persons, benefiting from Erasmus + mobility, with disabilities or whose health problems require specific support.
Applications should be made no later than two months before the start of the stay to the International Affairs Department.
