On Wednesday, May 6, Laura Chaubard, Director General of École Polytechnique, and Olivier Girard, President of Accenture France, signed a new strategic partnership between the two organizations, supported by the École Polytechnique Foundation, thereby joining forces to promote responsible and secure technologies in response to the digital challenges of the future.

A shared vision facing technological and societal challenges

Against a backdrop marked by the accelerating pace of digital transformation and the rise of cyber risks, the two partners aim to combine their expertise to promote responsible, secure technologies that support economic, industrial, and environmental transitions.

This partnership is fully aligned with École Polytechnique’s priorities, as it seeks to strengthen its role as an academic leader on issues related to digital sovereignty and trusted technologies.

Three key pillars for a wide-ranging collaboration

The partnership is based on three complementary pillars, each of which will be the subject of specific agreements:

  1. A teaching and research chair led in particular by Grégory Corcos, a researcher at the Center for Research in Economics and Statistics (CREST) at École Polytechnique, which will aim to:
  • Develop research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and economic transformation;
  • Generate knowledge useful to businesses, public institutions, and civil society;
  • Educate students and decision-makers on the challenges of responsible technology;
  • Foster an open innovation ecosystem with significant societal impact.

  1. The development of degree programs in continuing education, in collaboration with École polytechnique Executive Education.
    These programs, designed for experienced professionals, will focus in particular on the topics of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, addressing the growing demand for skills in these strategic fields.

  2. An Employer Branding Partnership
    This third phase will focus on increasing Accenture’s visibility among students at École Polytechnique, with the aim of fostering dialogue, creating career opportunities, and highlighting the appeal of careers in advanced technologies.

Gregory Corcos, Chair of the Department of Economics at École Polytechnique, presented the major research areas of the partnership’s chair component.

A dedicated governance framework to manage collaboration

The partnership will be overseen by a strategic steering committee comprising representatives from both institutions. Its mission will be to set the strategic direction, monitor the progress of projects, and identify new opportunities for collaboration.

A long-term commitment

This strategic partnership demonstrates the commitment of École Polytechnique and Accenture to jointly invest human, scientific, and financial resources to develop high-impact projects.

Through this collaboration, the two partners aim to contribute to training the talent of tomorrow, developing innovative solutions, and strengthening European competitiveness in the key fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
