MSc&T 2023 First Job Survey: a high rate of professional integration on graduation

With 95% of graduates in employment less than six months after completing their MSc&T, the 2025 survey confirms the excellent professional integration of our students, most of whom work in industry, consulting and finance. The program's appeal lies in its international outlook, its wide range of career opportunities and the quality of the jobs obtained, often even before graduation.

The 2024 survey of 2023 graduates from École polytechnique's MSc&T programs confirms the excellent professional integration of these hybrid profiles, at the crossroads of science, technology and management.

Fast access to the job market

Of the 167 graduates contacted, 97 responded to the survey. More than two-thirds (68%) of them joined the corporate world. Of these, 95% took up a position within six months of graduation, testifying to the relevance of their training in a demanding job market. At the same time, 79% of new hires are on permanent contracts, a clear sign of the confidence recruiters have in MSc&T profiles.

A wide range of business and attractive package

Graduates recruited by companies mainly work in industry (46%), consulting (26%) and finance (21%). Average annual pay package in France is €51,000 gross, confirming the economic attractiveness of these programs. A significant proportion (20%) are recruited by companies where graduates have already completed an internship.

International reach

France remains the preferred destination for 72% of graduates, but a significant proportion start their careers elsewhere in Europe (10%), the UK (5%) or North America (5%), testifying to the international dimension of the program and its students.

PhDs and entrepreneurship: a wide range of opportunities

Fifty-four of the graduates who answered the survey have chosen to continue their studies or embark on a doctorate, confirming the academic openness of the program. Finally, 6% of them embark on an entrepreneurial adventure, giving rise to new projects, often in the technology sector.
