Our partners in Africa
École Polytechnique continues to enrich the content of partnership agreements with about ten partners in Africa.
As our ambition is to extend the Ingénieur Polytechnicien cycle to international students, a major effort has been made with African countries to support the emergence or consolidation of local preparatory classes and professional training courses in Côte d'Ivoire, Morocco, Senegal and Guinea.
Our new English-language Master's and Bachelor's programs also enable us to successfully approach English-speaking Africa, which has considerable potential.
In Morocco, l'X has signed a number of cooperation agreements, notably with the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), allowing the implementation of various cooperation projects in research, entrepreneurship and academically.
A double degree as well as a cooperation agreement for the development of an engineering training program based on the Ingénieur Polytechnicien model were set up with the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez.
Finally, several training and exchange agreements have also been signed with four major institutions in Casablanca and Rabat: the Hassania School of Public Works (EHTP), the Mohammadia School of Engineering (EMI), the National Higher School of Mines in Rabat (ENSMR) and the National Higher School of Electricity and Mechanics (ENSEM).
In Guinea-Conakry, École Polytechnique has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Higher Education and the Gamal Abdel Nasser University of Conakry (UGANC) to develop an engineering program and provide financial support for students to attend preparatory classes in France (in partnership with the Lycée du Parc).
In Côte d'Ivoire, l'X is collaborating with the Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët Boigny (INP-HB) as part of a master's degree in Data Science set up with Orange, and also as part of training Ivorian students in Preparatory Class at the Lycée Louis le Grand.
Via our international university network, l'X receives students from the University Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar (UCAD), the Ecole Supérieure Polytechnique de Dakar in Senegal and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Polytechnique de Yaoundé (ENSP) in Cameroon.
