École Polytechnique has integrated the international dimension into its various training courses. Various opportunities for mobility are thus offered to l'X's students to enable them to build a solid international profile and to best address the challenges of the multicultural world in which they evolve. The study of foreign languages is also an important aspect of the school's courses, which offer a wide choice of languages including Japanese, Chinese, Russian, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.
Ingénieur Polytechnicien program
Students enrolled in the Ingénieur Polytechnicien program have the possibility to move abroad each year of their course as part of an internship (humanitarian internship in 1st year, internship in a company in 2nd year, research internship in 3rd year, end-of-study internship in 4th year). They can also spend their entire 4th year in a prestigious foreign university. The fourth year of the Ingénieur Polytechnicien program is in fact a dual degree programme, since it allows students to validate the École Polytechnique Diploma and to obtain a Master's degree from a partner institution in France or abroad. These international academic stays are facilitated by the double-degree agreements that exist between the School and many world-renowned universities.
Students in the Bachelor program are also encouraged to internationalize their educational path. École polytechnique thus offers them the opportunity to spend an exchange semester abroad, either at a partner university or at a university of their choice.
Each Master of Science and Technology at l'X contains two internship that can be completed abroad.
École Polytechnique also allows its students to benefit from preferential conditions to study in its partners' Summer Schools.
Assistance with application, orientation, language courses
The Department of International Relations and the Internship, Orientation, Professional Integration and Corporate Relations Department of École polytechnique help students to build their international project and support them in their applications. Throughout the year, they organise information sessions, individual or group interviews and training in the preparation of application files. Teachers and researchers, as well as École Polytechnique's alumni, are also available to advise students and help them to better define their professional project.
