L’X among top 100 institutions with the best academic reputation
On July 17, 2019, Times Higher Education unveiled the latest edition of its world ranking of the top 100 universities for academic reputation. L’X appears on the list beside two other French universities, Paris-Sciences-et-Lettres and Sorbonne University.
Times Higher Education published its ranking of the best universities in the world in terms of academic reputation on Wednesday, July 17. This year, l’X has proved its place in the top 100, being ranked 3rd among the French universities to appear in the list, after PSL and Sorbonne University.
This ranking is based on an opinion survey carried out on experienced academics from 135 countries, in relation to outstanding institutions of research and education in their field of expertise.
The universities are categorized according to their reputation in various academic disciplines, namely Engineering and Technology, Physical Sciences, Business and Economics, Health, Life Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Computer Science, Social Sciences, Psychology, Teaching, and Law.
L’X stands out in four subjects in particular: Physical Sciences (41st), Computer Science (61st), Business and Economics (75th) and Engineering and Technology (84th).
The institutions to hit the top of the ranking were Harvard, MIT and Stanford.
