École Polytechnique and Docaposte, through its subsidiary Index Education, publisher of PRONOTE, are launching “OrienteXpress,” a research project aimed at improving guidance for young people toward scientific fields. This project is part of École Polytechnique's ongoing policy of promoting diversity and inclusion.
As part of its equal opportunities initiative, École Polytechnique offers an online scientific enrichment programme designed to boost the confidence of secondary school pupils with a passion for science and encourage them to pursue excellence in their scientific studies.
From 27 to 31 October, the Equal Opportunities Unit organised a 'CPGE Boost' course for 30 scholarship students in their first year of scientific preparatory classes, hailing from all corners of France. This edition took place on the École Polytechnique campus for the first time, enabling these young people to envisage themselves in excellence-driven scientific training programmes and to benefit from the ecosystem of a leading engineering school.

École Polytechnique’s Foundation (FX) is launching its third fund-raising campaign with a strong commitment to “Serving Science”. It aims to raise 200 million euros over the next 5 years from private individuals and companies, and has announced that it has already raised over 40% of this target.
The publication of the results of the entrance exam to Ecole Polytechnique on August 2, 1972 marked the arrival of the first seven women in the Ingénieur Polytechnicien program. Ecole Polytechnique celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of its feminization throughout this year and is stepping up its efforts to promote women’s position.
Élisabeth Borne (X81) has been appointed Prime Minister of the French government, the first woman graduate of the Ingénieur Polytechnicien program and second woman to hold this position. She emphasized the symbolic significance of her appointment as École Polytechnique celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the opening of the entrance exam to the Ingénieur Polytechnicien program to women.
