X-UP accelerator has been selected for the French Tech Ticket Program

École Polytechnique’s accelerator has been selected for the second edition of the French Tech Ticket Program. The program is designed for entrepreneurs from all over the world, it aims to facilitate start-up creation in France.

On Tuesday, June 21st, Axelle Lemaire, Minister of State for the Digital Sector launched the second edition of the French Tech Ticket Program, a program designed for entrepreneurs from all over the world who seek for a better start-up development ecosystem. École Polytechnique’s accelerator, X-UP, is among 41 partner institutions that have been selected to host future laureates within its accelerators and incubators.

French Tech Ticket, advantages for international entrepreneurs

The candidates for the French Tech Ticket Program will choose the incubator that best suits their needs according to their expertise sectors. 70 international start-ups, or about 180 entrepreneurs, will join the second edition of the program in January 2017. They will benefit from a 12-month accomodation in the incubator or accelerator, a €45,000 annual funding per project, a fast-track procedure to obtain a resident permit, a dedicated support program suppervised by an  experienced entrepreneur, two demodays per year with investors and companies,  a help desk to assist laureates with administrative formalities and a personal installation assistance, Paris Landing Pack.

X-UP, an accelerator dedicated to innovantive srart-ups

“Joining the French Tech Ticket program is a big step for École Polytechnique’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center in terms of development of its partnerships in Europe, United-States, Israel and Asia. Being selected as one of the French Tech Ticket incubators will strengthen our acceleration program at the international level in the service of our entrepreneurs while contributing to the economic development of France”, said Matthieu Somekh, Head of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation at l'X.

X-UP accelerator provides 6-months acceleration program and covers a broad spectrum of expertise: IOT, hardware, data science, artificial intelligence, robotics, healthcare, fintech, cleantech. The coaching is strongly based on mentoring and is developed around high-level workshops inciting the circulation of ideas. Accelerated start-ups benefit from École Polytechnique's ecosystem, thanks to its research center and its cutting-edge laboratories but also to the exchanges with students, faculty staff, alumni network, academic and industrial partners.

The program is hosted on École Polytechnique's campus, within "LA FIBRE ENTREPRENEUR – Drahi-X Novation Center", a center entirely dedicated to entrepreneurship and innovation. This new 2,600 m² space provids a unique spot for creation, experimentation and prototyping, training, co-working, and exchanges with investors and corporate partners, as well as for innovative start-up incubation and X-Tech.
