Lopez-Loreta Prize 2027: Submit Your Application!
The Jean-Jacques and Felicia Lopez-Loreta Foundation for Academic Excellence is relaunching, in 2027, an exceptional €1 million prize to support an innovative, high-impact project. The prize is open exclusively to graduates of four leading European institutions: Ecole Polytechnique, ISAE-SUPAERO, EPFL and ETH Zurich.
Who can apply?
All Ecole Polytechnique graduates who obtained their degree less than two years before July 1, 2026, in one of the following programs: Cycle Ingénieur, Master of Science & Technology and PhD.
Executive Master degrees and equivalent qualifications are not eligible.
What type of project is eligible?
Eligible projects include academic research projects and start-up projects.
The project must have been initiated at Ecole Polytechnique. It may, however, be developed at another institution.
Entrepreneurial projects must be at an early stage: projects that are already advanced—including an already-established start-up or a project that has already raised funding—are not eligible.
A project may be submitted only once.
How to apply?
Applications must be submitted in the form of a pre-application dossier, including in particular: a description of your project, your CV, a cover letter, a letter of support from the Director of the host laboratory (for research projects).
Support
Finalists selected by the Lopez-Loreta Foundation to take part in the interview stage will receive support from Ecole Polytechnique's Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department to prepare for their interviews.
