The BX confirms its top spot in Le Figaro Étudiant's Bachelor's degree rankings
École Polytechnique Bachelor's program (BX) ranked first in its category of general engineering Bachelor's degrees for the second consecutive year in the rankings published on January 26 by Le Figaro Étudiant.
With a score of 19.6 out of 20, it ranks ahead of the Bachelor's degree offered by Centrale Supélec in partnership with McGill University in Montreal (19.2) and that offered by Centrale Nantes (17.4).
Le Figaro Étudiant ranks the 50 bachelor's degrees offered by Engineering Schools available on Parcoursup, the French platform for access to higher education, based on an overall score out of 20.
This overall score is the weighted average of three scores assessing their attractiveness, measured by the average high school diploma grade of admitted students, the selectivity of the program and the candidate confirmation rate (coefficient 3), academic excellence (coefficient 2) and employability, innovation and entrepreneurship (coefficient 1). Each of these three scores is calculated using numerical indicators based, for the most part, on certified 2025 data from the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieurs (CTI) after review and verification, where applicable, with the Schools.
With nearly 1,500 applicants, up 12% from the previous year, and 203 new students enrolling for the 2025-2026 academic year, École Polytechnique's Bachelor's program has further strengthened its appeal and increased its total enrollment to 499 students, up 15%.
The Figaro Étudiant ranking divides the 50 Bachelor's programs offered by Engineering Schools on Parcoursup into five distinct categories: General Engineering Bachelor's degrees, Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Digital Technology, Bachelor's degrees in Cybersecurity, Bachelor's degrees in Biotechnology, Health and Agri-Food, and Bachelor's degrees in Environmental Science and Sustainable Development.
In the Cybersecurity Bachelor's degree category, EPITA's Cybersecurity Bachelor's degree, in partnership with École Polytechnique, confirmed its second place ranking.
