In artificial intelligence, Entalpic and Neuralk AI are developing solutions in a sector that is strategic for business competitiveness and mastery of digital technologies. Neuralk specializes in particular in the use of structured data for businesses’ operational needs.
Several award winners are contributing to the transformation of the industry and the development of cutting-edge technologies. Cailabs designs laser communication solutions, particularly for satellite-to-Earth links. Inbolt develops artificial intelligence technologies designed to facilitate robotic automation in industry. Niryo designs robotic solutions for the industrial, medical, and educational sectors. Orus operates in the aerospace sector, while Wheere develops indoor geolocation technology.
Cybersecurity and healthcare are also represented. CryptoNext Security develops cryptographic solutions designed to withstand threats related to the emergence of quantum computers. Orakl Oncology leverages data and artificial intelligence technologies in the field of oncology.
French Tech 2030: Supporting Strategic Technologies
Launched in 2023, the French Tech 2030 program supports high-potential French startups developing disruptive technologies in strategic sectors. Its third cohort includes 80 companies across eight fields: artificial intelligence, space, quantum technology, cybersecurity, robotics, semiconductors, healthcare, energy, and decarbonization.
Led by the French Tech Mission, which is part of the Directorate General for Enterprises, the program aims to accelerate the development of these companies and help them scale up, both in France and internationally. The support provided focuses in particular on financing, relations with government agencies, visibility, and the development of technological and commercial partnerships.
The Class of 2026 reflects the growing influence of these companies in the French economy. According to the ministry’s press kit, the 80 awardees invested 211 million euros in research and development in 2025 and filed 842 patents since their founding. They have raised a total of 1.5 billion euros. The program also contributes to industrial development and job creation: the selected companies account for nearly 4,000 jobs in France, and 79% of them already operate abroad.
From Research to Industrial Innovation
The French Tech 2030 selection highlights the importance of technology companies in transforming scientific advances into industrial and commercial applications. A majority of the winners have ties to public research: 60% have their roots in public research or collaborate with its stakeholders.
The presence of eleven startups founded or led by École Polytechnique alumni in this class illustrates the contribution of the École Polytechnique ecosystem to this entrepreneurial momentum, at the intersection of research, innovation, and the development of technologies that address strategic challenges for France.
