Awarded by the European Research Council (ERC), Starting Grants aim to support researchers at the beginning of their careers who have already done excellent work and who are ready to work independently as leaders of research teams. This year, our laboratories have 3 researchers on the list of ERC Starting Grant winners, discover their projects:

Atomic scale observation and manipulation of spins in semiconductors: the OneSpin project of Fabian Cadiz, assistant professor at the Ecole Polytechnique at the Laboratory of Condensed Matter Physics (PMC, a joint research unit CNRS, Ecole Polytechnique - Institut Polytechnique de Paris).

Improving the description of quantum electrodynamics: the EXAFIELD project of Adrien Leblanc, CNRS research fellow at the Laboratory of Applied Optics (LOA, a joint research unit of CNRS, École polytechnique, ENSTA Paris, Institut Polytechnique de Paris)
     > Discover his project

Genetics in social models: the FINDME project by Félix Tropf, assistant professor at the Center for Research in Economics and Statistics (CREST, a joint research unit of CNRS, ENSAE Paris - Institut Polytechnique de Paris, École Polytechnique - Institut Polytechnique de Paris, GENES)
