Co-organized by Juan-Antonio Cordero-Fuertes, associate professor in Computer Science at École Polytechnique, the conference “AIvolution - Transforming the European Union´s Economy and Society” brought together academics from several European universities, members of the European Parliament, and experts from the private sector on November 16, 2023.
The École Polytechnique and the Military Applications Division of CEA are launching the "Physics of High Energy Densities and Inertial Fusion" Chair to help train students in the physics of high energy densities, and to facilitate the emergence of research collaborations on topics such as fusion for energy by inertial confinement or the physics of magnetised plasmas.

Three PhD candidates of École Polytechnique organized this year’s EuroTech winter school focused on “Accelerating Hydrogen: Towards Sustainable Production, Storage, and Conversion Technologies”. The seminar brought together over 30 PhD students from all six EuroTech partner universities across Europe from October 9-13, 2023, on campus and included a wide-ranging set of lectures and industry visits.

École Polytechnique and the University of California, Berkeley signed a Memorandum of Understanding to reinforce their international cooperation. The Polytechnique-Berkeley Research Fellowship program is one of the academic and scientific initiatives the two institutions plan to develop further. It enables École Polytechnique’s engineering students to enroll in a research internship within the laboratory of Berkeley’s Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) department and hence immerse themselves in the research environment in the United States.
