L’X Climbs in the 2026 Digital Leaders in Higher Education Rankings
École Polytechnique has improved its standing in the digital fields, ranking 13th globally in the 2026 Digital Leaders in Higher Education ranking, published by Times Higher Education in partnership with Emerging. The School has moved up three spots from the 2025 edition (16th) and remains number one in France.
This rise is accompanied by strong results in the various subject-specific rankings published as part of this edition.
École Polytechnique thus retains its No. 1 ranking in France for Digital Entrepreneurship & Innovation, where it ranks 16th globally—a ranking that remains stable compared to 2025.
In Computer Science, the School has climbed further in the rankings, reaching 8th place worldwide—up from 11th in 2025—while remaining No. 1 in France.
The School has also improved its ranking in Digital Transformation Management, where it now ranks 22nd worldwide and retains its No. 2 position in France, up from 24th place worldwide in 2025.
Finally, École Polytechnique has made significant strides in Data Science, AI & Business Analytics, rising from 69th to 49th place globally, while maintaining its second-place ranking in France.
The Digital Leaders in Higher Education ranking, published by Times Higher Education in partnership with Emerging, evaluates higher education institutions based on their ability to train future digital leaders. It draws in particular on an analysis of the career paths of graduates holding leadership positions in the digital and innovation sectors, as well as on recruiters’ recognition of these institutions.
