École Polytechnique has confirmed its place among the world's top 30 universities for student employability, as assessed by the GEURS 2026 ranking. This ranking is produced on the basis of data collected by the French consulting firm Emerging and published by Times Higher Education (THE).

For the second consecutive year, L’X ranks 26th worldwide and 3rd in France. In France, it is ranked behind HEC Paris (21th worldwide, up one place from the GEURS 2025 ranking) and CentraleSupélec (24th worldwide, down four places).

The Global Employability University Ranking and Survey evaluates higher education institutions based on employer expectations regarding the employability of their graduates. For its 15th edition, the ranking was compiled based on a survey of 12,350 senior executives and managers in 32 countries.

Respondents, who were active professionals responsible for recruiting or supervising graduates, were asked which universities and grandes écoles they believed prepared their graduates best for employment and future challenges.

Respondents could name up to 15 institutions and justify their choices by identifying two factors relating to employability (e.g. operational expertise, specialisation, leadership, academic performance of the institution, international outlook, reputation, etc.).

The institutions that received the most reviews formed the top 250 of the ranking. These reviews are consolidated into raw results, which are not weighted according to the highlighted criteria.
