École Polytechnique and the Government of Singapore sign cooperation agreement to strengthen academic excellence and international exchanges
École Polytechnique and the Government of the Republic of Singapore, represented by the Public Service Commission (PSC), have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at promoting academic excellence and supporting high-potential students through scholarship opportunities. This agreement is part of a long-standing collaboration between École Polytechnique and Singapore, including a dual-degree program with the National University of Singapore (NUS) and numerous research collaborations with NUS and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). It marks a new step in strengthening academic ties between the two countries.
Signed on January 19, this agreement allows recipients of the PSC Scholarship, Singapore’s premier merit-based government scholarship, to gain facilitated access to École Polytechnique’s Bachelor of Science and Master of Science and Technology programs through an accelerated admission process. This process is reserved for candidates who meet the academic requirements of the institution.
The "Fast Track" procedure: a facilitated path for proven talent
The accelerated admission procedure plays a central role in this agreement. The PSC will be able to nominate up to five students per year for each program, provided they meet the academic criteria and requirements of École Polytechnique. These candidates, already preselected for their excellence, will benefit from direct access to oral interviews without prior review of their application files.
A sustainable commitment focused on the future
Valid for a period of five years, this agreement establishes the foundation for a lasting collaboration between the two institutions. It includes coordination mechanisms to reconcile the academic requirements of École Polytechnique’s programs and the obligations related to the PSC scholarship, enabling students to study under the best possible conditions.
"We are proud of this new collaboration, which will allow École Polytechnique to welcome the best Singaporean talents under optimal conditions. The excellence of their academic journey will contribute to enriching our student community and building lasting bridges between our two scientific nations," said Laura Chaubard, Director General and President of École Polytechnique.
