His Excellency Yoichi Suzuki came to École Polytechnique in February 2015 and was interviewed for L'X on Air.
His Excellency Yoichi Suzuki is Ambassador of Japan to France.
He started his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in 1975 and was appointed Permanent Representative the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 1997. He was consul general in Boston and Ambassador of Japan to Singapour before chairing the Committee on Agriculture at the WTO and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Trade Committee.
On February 18th, 2015 His Excellency Yoichi SUZUKI held a lecture at École Polytechnique on international relations among East-Asian countries from 1990 until today. On that occasion he was interviewed for L'X on Air.
He explains how French higher education and research institutions like l'X are perceived in Japan, what is at stake after the signature of an agreement between France and Japan to mutually recognize their diplomas, and talks about his role in fostering collaboration between universities and companies.
