Student from l’X awarded at the New World Mathematics Awards in Beijing
On June 9th, 2019, a student from the Ingénieur Polytechnicien program was awarded at the“New World Mathematics Awards".
On June 9th, 2019, Chenyu Bai (X2018) was awarded the Silver Medal of Undergraduate thesis for the “New World Mathematics Awards" 2018 in China.
Initiated in 2007, the goal of the “New World Mathematics Awards" (NWMA) is to encourage outstanding Chinese mathematics students worldwide in their pursuit of mathematical truth.
Chinese undergraduate and PhD mathematics students from around the world who have completed or defended their thesis can participate. The topics of these can be Pure or Applied Mathematics, Probability and Statistics, Biomathematics etc.
The 2019 New World Mathematics Awards Ceremony aimed to award the winner of NWMA 2017, 2018 and 2019 as the ceremony is held every three years and took place during the 8th International Congress of Chinese Mathematicians (ICCM 2019), in Beijing, China, held from June 9 to June 14, 2019.
