A Summer School on Data Science at l'X
From August, 28th to September, 1st 2017, École Polytechnique organizes the Data Science Summer School, a series of courses, conferences and roundtable meetings on data sciences. This week is inaugurated by Yoshua Bengio, a global expert on deep learning.

Courses and Roundtable meetings on Data Science
These are the Data Science Summer School subjects organized from August, 28th to September, 1st 2017 at École Polytechnique. Implemented by the Data Science initiative, this summer school offers a series of lectures and courses given by international experts covering the latest developments in the field of data science as well as discussion sessions and meetings between participants.
This event brings together over 400 participants from 30 different nationalities from 50 companies and 180 international institutions. The audience is made up of students, post-doctoral students, researchers and professors in the related fields as well as data science professionals.
Yoshua Bengio opens Data Science Summer School
On Monday, August 28th, Yoshua Bengio, a researcher from the University of Montréal, opened this week with a public lecture on deep learning. He is one of the leading international experts in deep learning and artificial intelligence, co-founder of the Canadian start-up Element AI.
For Emmanuel Bacry, Head of the Data Science initiative at École Polytechnique, this summer school is "a major international event in the world of data science and there is no doubt that these days are a unique scientific meeting place for the scientific community in this field ".
