The DepMAP works in close collaboration with the research laboratory in Applied Mathematics of the Ecole Polytechnique (CMAP), in the same unit.
Since its creation in 1974, the Centre de Mathématiques Appliquées (CMAP) has set itself the objective of developing and exploring mathematics in connection with applications. CMAP's openness to other disciplines is demonstrated by the variety and complexity of the research topics it addresses. Its functioning allows its teams to explore and initiate new themes, in close connection with problems posed in physics, mechanics, chemistry, biology, health and finance but also in the socio-economic or information technology fields. The laboratory is supervised by the CNRS and the Ecole Polytechnique (Unité Mixte de Recherche 7641), and hosts INRIA teams.
