ChangeNOW: Greentech at the heart of the challenges facing École Polytechnique

Teams from the École Polytechnique incubator, X-UP, will be attending the ChangeNOW exhibition, taking place from 30 March to 1 April at the Grand Palais in Paris. This event focuses on sustainable development and green technology innovations. Last year, it attracted 40,000 visitors, 10,000 companies, and 1,000 high-impact solutions.

École Polytechnique’s incubator, X-UP, plays an active role in innovation events such as Meetup Greentech, GreenTech Innovation and ChangeNOW. These events provide an opportunity to showcase projects, arrange one-to-one meetings, expand your network and learn about the latest trends.

By attending ChangeNOW, École Polytechnique demonstrates its commitment to becoming a major player in the greentech sector, which is a key focus of the strategy of its Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the X-Novation Center.

X-UP has been supporting start-ups that develop solutions for the energy transition, reducing the carbon footprint, managing resources sustainably, and promoting clean mobility for several years now.

You will have the opportunity to meet the École Polytechnique teams at the X-UP stand, which is located within the ChangeNOW 'Ecosystem Accelerator Zone'. You will also be able to meet the Tinental start-up team, which was co-founded and is led by Elin Flyger. Backed by X-UP, this green technology company was recognised at the Korea Electronics Show in October last year. Its solution is a plug-and-play IoT device that is compatible with any variable frequency drive (VFD) and can synchronise the performance of any motorised machine with system demand in order to reduce energy waste. Tinental uses artificial intelligence to enable real-time optimisation of industrial machinery.

Other start-ups that have been or are currently being incubated at École Polytechnique will also be attending this event. One example is Radiant, a start-up specialising in carbon-free heat production for industrial clients, which was part of the X-UP 17 cohort from April 2024 to February 2025. It was founded by Thomas Delhon and Alexandre Meurisse.

ʻAs a catalyst for sustainable innovation, the X-UP incubator at École Polytechnique propels deep-tech entrepreneurs into the heart of an ecosystem of excellence. This enables them to create and scale up essential technological solutions that have a significant environmental and societal impact.ʼ
