École Polytechnique and Columbia University to establish a Dual Degree in Engineering
École Polytechnique and the Columbia University Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science are joining forces to offer a joint Bachelor's and Master's degree in Engineering. This dual degree program, to be launched next year, will accept its first cohort of students in autumn 2024.

EuroTech Talks – Scientific lectures across Europe
The third edition of the scientific lectures series brought together Kostas (Konstantinos) Danas, research director at CNRS and professor at École Polytechnique, and Pedro Reis, professor at École Polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), on September 22nd, 2022, to discuss the latest studies on magnetorheological elastomers (MREs) conducted at l’X and EPFL, both partner universities in the EuroTech Alliance.

Scholarship of excellence awarded by the South Korean government
Enrolled in École Polytechnique's Bachelor of Science program, Catalina Negoita has been awarded a scholarship of excellence by the Korean government, supporting her as she will spend an exchange semester at the Pohang University of Technology in South Korea (Postech).

A bright collaboration – Two visiting researchers from Sudan at l’X
During a three-month visit, two Sudanese researchers, Fatema Mohamed and Maram Ali Ahmed, joined École Polytechnique’s Irradiated Solids Laboratory and strengthened their collaboration with the laboratory’s Theoretical Spectroscopy group on research projects focusing on the simulation of materials’ electronic properties. Moreover, Fatema will join the EuroTech Postdoc2 program in 2023 to pursue her postdoctoral studies in co-supervision at l’X and EPFL.

École Polytechnique welcomes American students for a research internship
As they participate in the Optics in the City of Light research experience program, four students from the University of Michigan join École Polytechnique’s laboratories for a two-month internship. Organized with several partners of the University Paris-Saclay, the program focuses on laser research.

Civil training in Ivory Coast for two Ingénieur Polytechnicien students
Two students (X2021) completed the civil training part of the Ingénieur Polytechnicien program in Yamoussoukro, at the high school Mamie Adjoua, and at Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny. To both, the training represented an opportunity to engage as citizens and to discover the teaching profession.
