The Engineering for Health (E4H) Interdisciplinary Center of Institut Polytechnique de Paris, of which École polytechnique is a founding member, is opening a new creative and collaborative space dedicated to bioengineering projects’ prototyping.
Roland Lescure (X87), the French Minister in charge of Industry, came to meet École Polytechnique’s students and start-ups of its ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation supported by its incubator, the Drahi X-Novation Center. He pleaded for École Polytechnique’graduates to fully support the new industrial zero carbon revolution.

A team of Ecole Polytechnique’s students has won the tenth Tournament of Young French Physicists, qualifying for the International Physicist’s Tournament (IPT) to be held at the Ecole Polytechnique from April 23rd to 29th.
The kick-off meeting of the E4C 2023 International Student Challenge took place on February 1st. The new edition of the challenge is labelled « Save the ernegy, save the world ». Participants will have to to create projects which responds to the following question: What solution would you adopt to reduce your energy consumption?
The 2023 edition of the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas, the world's largest tech exhibition, took place from January 5 to 8 with a smaller delegation of French start-ups, including three young companies supported by the Drahi-X Novation Center, the incubator of the École Polytechnique, as well as Valeo's R&D center, which has been working on safer, cleaner, smarter mobility for several years.
Charles Roques-Carmes is a Polytechnique engineer and is currently a postdoctoral associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Electronics Research Laboratory, where he received his Ph.D. in 2022 after completing a Master's degree in electrical and computer engineering. He is one of the 30 young scientists under the age of 30 honored by the North American edition of Forbes magazine.
École Polytechnique heads once again the top engineering school in the 2023 ranking released by the newspaper Le Figaro, which has published the names and scores of the top ten schools. Three other schools of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, of which X is a founding member, appear in this list of the top 10 French Engineering Schools: Télécom Paris, ENSAE Paris and ENSTA Paris.
Building on the success of the Master of Science and Technology (MScT) Data Science for Business, École Polytechnique ad HEC Paris are deepening their cooperation by launching the Data & Finance double degree program in September 2023. This unique double degree, taught entirely in English, takes place over two years.
For their third edition, the X-Impact Tech Awards, organized by the graduates of the X Executive Master's program with the support of the École Polytechnique Foundation and the X-UP incubator, have rewarded three projects among the eight finalists selected.
On December 5th, École Polytechnique's Computer Science Department (DIX) organized a companies day for its students. The event allowed the School's computer science students to meet with a panel of companies, most of which are partners of the Department and its Laboratory (LIX). The companies presented their activities as well as the major operational and research challenges they face.
