The 2025 edition of the X-Forum brought together more than 150 companies on École Polytechnique’s campus to present themselves to nearly 2,000 students, including 1,000 École Polytechnique students.

The event is organized each year by the student association X-Forum, which has around fifty members under the leadership of its president Clémie Teston (X23). It is dedicated to employability and direct exchanges between participants.

The Forum takes place over two days. During the first day of the event, “career day,” career-focused conferences allow students to clarify their career plans or the next steps in their educational path. They can also participate in mock job interviews, professional scenario workshops, and resume review sessions.

At the end of the day, career workshops organized with the support of the AX, École Polytechnique alumni association, enable groups of pupils and students to discover a particular sector of activity and talk to alumni of the School who work in that field.

The second day is devoted to the Forum itself, which occupies 3,000 square meters with stands from more than 150 participating companies and institutions. Many major players from the consulting, finance, industry, telecommunications, and digital technology sectors were attending.

Illustrating the proximity of École Polytechnique to the business world, direct exchanges with pupils and students enable them to test the relevance of their chosen courses on the job market, facilitate their search for internships or funding, and even secure potential employment.

Over half of graduates from École Polytechnique’s Cycle Ingénieur Polytechnicien program choose to start their careers in companies . Almost all of these engineers are hired on permanent contracts, and a third of them join companies where they completed an internship or a gap year.

École Polytechnique has confirmed its 26th place worldwide and 3rd place in France in the Time Higher Education (THE) Emerging Global Employability University 2026 ranking, which covers 250 universities and assesses the employability of their graduates based on employer expectations.
