"Researchers' Words" Seminar

David Naccache will give a seminar on July 4th, 2014, from 11:30am to 12:30pm at TRT Auditorium : « Between Covert Channel Attacks and Darwinism ».

In this seminar, David Naccache will show how techniques that are inspired by biological phenomena, in particular Mullerien mimicry, can help develop and improve new defense strategies against computer security attacks.

No prior knowledge of computers or biology is necessary to understand and enjoy this seminar.

After an industrial career at Gemalto, an international digital security company, David Naccache joined the computer science laboratory at Ecole Normale Supérieure, as well as Panthéon-Assas University (Paris 2), as a professor of computer science. A specialist in cryptography and computer security, he has authored 140 scientific publications and an equal number of patent families. Called to appear numerous times as an expert in the Paris Court of Appeals and before the International Criminal Court (The Hague, Netherlands), he has shared his expertise in IT and computing devices for both criminal and civil cases. His research is frequently multidisciplinary in scope, involving the intersection of several distinct fields. He has supervised 15 PhD students as their thesis advisor and served on over 170 program committees for scientific conferences.

It is a series of scientific seminars designed to reach a wide audience of non-specialists.
