Portraits of Female Entrepreneurs: Marie Feroux – Structuring Energy Projects to Better Manage Their Impacts
When Marie Feroux founded Osborne Systems last July, she and her partners developed a platform that enables manufacturers to design their oil and gas flow measurement systems with greater precision by automating processes that are still largely manual today. Their ambition is to extend these capabilities to new applications, such as monitoring CO₂ emissions. This ambitious project reflects the spirit of this dynamic entrepreneur, who has been receiving support from École Polytechnique’s X-UP incubator since last October.

Ami Labs, led by Alexandre Lebrun (X94), set to overhaul AI, raises $1 billion
The start-up Ami Labs (Advanced Machine Intelligence), founded by French researcher Yann LeCun (former Chief Scientist at Meta and winner of the 2018 Turing Award), became a unicorn as soon as it was created. It will be led by Alexandre Lebrun (X1994) and co-founder of the medical AI start-up Nabla. Ami Labs'goal is to develop the next generation of artificial intelligence capable of understanding the world around us: ʻworld modelsʼ.

Radiant: the rise of a green technology start-up supported by École Polytechnique
Radiant is a rapidly growing green tech start-up that specialises in producing carbon-free heat for industrial use. It won first prize in the European Stage Two competition, representing École Polytechnique, and successfully raised funds at the end of last year. Meet its two founders: Thomas Delhon, an aerospace engineer, and Alexandre Meurisse, a former PhD student at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) laboratories. They received support from École Polytechnique's X-UP incubator, which provided a springboard for their success.

Start-up Tinental has won an award at the 2025 Korea Electronics Show
From 21 to 24 October, Seoul host one of the most important events in the electronics and IT industry calendar: the Korea Electronics Show (KES). During the event, Tinental, a start-up founded by Elin Flyger and Nicolò Luppi, received the ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) Innovation Award. This green technology company aims to reduce energy consumption at industrial sites using artificial intelligence.

Stilla technologies, a successful spin-off from the Hydrodynamics Laboratory
Stilla Technologies develops and markets high-precision genetic analysis systems now used by several hundred laboratories worldwide. The American group Bio-rad laboratories is to acquire it for $225 million. This successful company has its origins on École polytechnique campus, and more specifically in the hydrodynamics laboratory (LadHyX*), in Charles Baroud's group. Charles Baroud looks back on the first steps of this adventure, which began in 2011.

Copie de L’X signs a partnership with Bocconi University
École Polytechnique strengthens its ties with Bocconi, the world-renowned Italian university specialized in economics, management, finance, law, political science, data and computer science. A Memorandum of Understanding, signed on November 13th will facilitate specific joint projects such as academic student exchanges and the development of double degree programs at master level, combining the strengths of the two institutions.
