Artificial intelligence: the Fujitsu center at l'X will collaborate with Europe
The Fujitsu Center of Excellence dedicated to artificial intelligence announced the extension of its activities towards the European companies at the summit on artificial intelligence that is held today, Thursday, March 29, in Paris.
A year ago, in March 2017, the Japanese giant Fujitsu announced an investment of more than 50 million euros over five years to support digital innovation in France and the creation of a Center of Excellence dedicated to artificial intelligence hosted at École Polytechnique.
Today, as the summit on artificial intelligence is held in Paris, Fujitsu announced a new stage in its development strategy with the extension of the activities of its Center of Excellence to European companies. This Center will notably work closely with the Fujitsu Industry Center 4.0 in Germany, participate in European academic projects and collaborate with companies on thirty projects related to artificial intelligence.
The activities of the Center of Excellence are concentrated in the areas of machine learning, deep learning and Natural Language Processing, including predictive analytics and other data analysis technologies to solve critical problems faced by businesses. The Fujitsu teams collaborate thus with the research laboratories of l'X and with the start-ups hosted in La Fibre Entrepreneur - Drahi - X Novation Center.
According to Benjamin Revcolevschi, Director General of Fujitsu France, "France is a strategic country for innovation, thanks in part to the excellence of its higher education and research institutions, and secondly to the dynamism of its innovation ecosystem. We are proud that the wealth of the French ecosystem in artificial intelligence is now at the service of our European teams".
