The "Einstein Institute International Undergraduate Workshop" organized at HUJI is a joint project of l'X, represented by Bertand Rémy, Professor of Mathematics at l'X and President of the Department of Mathematics, HUJI and Freie Universität Berlin. The participation of Ingénieur Polytechnicien students was supported by X-Israël, l'X Alumni Friends of Israel. X-Israël annually supports scientific and academic initiatives aimed at fostering collaborations and projects enabling student mobility between l'X and its Israeli partners. This participation of students was also supported by the French Friends of the Hebrew University.
Twenty students coming from France, Sweden, China, Serbia, Germany and Israel participated in the workshop. They were supervised by Professors Eran Nevo, specialized in combinatory analysis, Jasmin Matz, number theory, and Jake Solomon, differential topology, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJI), as well as by Klaus Altmann, specialized in algebraic geometry, from Freie Universität Berlin.
This academic trip gave students a great opportunity to discover Jerusalem and its surroundings.
