Hackathon at École Polytechnique
From February 24th to February 27th, an hackathon was organized on the campus of École Polytechnique. Students from the University of Tokyo have teamed up with students from l'X to participate in this 48-hour intercultural experience organized in partnership with HORIBA.
The kick-off was given at 3 pm on Friday. This hackathon, a sort of coding marathon for computer developers, was organized on the campus of École polytechnique during two days.
Within Drahi X-Novation Center, some twenty students from the University of Tokyo and École Polytechnique worked in teams of five on a technological project organized in partnership with HORIBA, the sponsor of the event. The theme of the competition was revealed at the launch of the hackaton. The teams were provided with prototyping and coworking spaces of École Polytechnique's accelerator and incubator in order to develop their projects and create their products. At the end of the 48 hours and after the selection of the jury, a prize-giving ceremony was held on Monday, February 27th at 6pm in the presence of HORIBA.
The aim of this hackathon was to strengthen existing collaborations between l'X and the University of Tokyo while encouraging cultural exchanges between Japan and France, as well as projects in favor of entrepreneurship and innovation.
