International students made theatrical and musical performances to present their country of origin and their culture to French students. For their part, some members of the KES, the major student association of École Polytechnique, introduced the traditions of l'X. Finally, international students participated in their first military ceremony during the Alphas march, ceremony where they received their alpha braids.

They talk about it

Julio Cesar Ferreira Filho, brazilian student : "This week in Houlgate will be an excellent souvenir. I discovered the military framework and its traditions as well as the history of France through the visit of museums and organized events. And the most important: I have made new friends and I am even more proud now to say that I am an Ingénieur Polytechnicien student!"

Donovan Maréchal, belgian student : "This program allowed me to meet some of my future comrades who went through the preparatory classes. During this very rewarding week, I was able to discover the military world which represents a significant part of l'X. I also particularly appreciated the historical dimension of this trip in Normandy and the visit of emblematic sites of the disembarkation."
