L’X acquires the “Bienvenue en France” Label
École Polytechnique receives the esteemed “Bienvenue en France” Label (“Choose France Certification”) at its highest possible level.
From July 8-10, 2019, the third edition of the Campus France Research and Innovation Meetings is being held in Paris at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie. On this occasion, Frédérique Vidal, the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, announced that École Polytechnique would officially be certified with the “Bienvenue en France” label (“Choose France Certification”) at the highest level of three out of three stars.
Launched in late January 2019 by Campus France, the first “Bienvenue en France” Label campaign is aimed for French institutions that wish to promote their offers for hosting international students. It also answers the need to improve and standardize the conditions of welcoming students to all French higher education campuses, while giving them a quality guarantee recognized and certified on a national level.
The certification describes solid measures and actions that directly affect the everyday lives of international students in France and will help these students to understand what the institution has done in order to guarantee a proper arrival for them. The assessment is carried out by using twenty indicators divided into five main themes including: the quality and accessibility of information, the welcoming methods available, the accessibility and accompanying academic offer, the housing and quality of campus life and the quality of the post-graduate follow-up.
The three star level rating obtained by l’X signifies that the establishment meets all the designated indicators.
The “Bienvenue en France” label is awarded for 4 years by the agency Campus France and validated by an independent commission. Campus France is a public institution in charge of promoting French higher education abroad and welcoming foreign students and researchers to France.
École Polytechnique hosts 40% of international students and more than 80 nationalities are present on our campus. L’X is certified with the Qualité français langue étrangère certification, French as a Foreign Language (FLE) since 2014, and more than 500 international students are taking French language and culture courses on campus.
