École Polytechnique comes in at number 28 in the world’s best universities for graduate recruitment, according to the 2019 Times Higher Education Employability Ranking, released on November 21. It is one of the 13 French institutions to have made it onto the top 150 in the Ranking.
École Polytechnique is one of the top 30 universities in the world according to the 2019 Times Higher Education Employability Ranking, published on November 21. L'X is ranked 28th in the world and 2nd in France, coming in just after HEC (22nd).
The Ranking, which singles out universities that best prepare students for the workplace according to leaders of major international corporations, places Harvard, Caltech and MIT at the top of the global leaderboard.
In 2019, 91.000 votes were canvassed by an independent polling institute from 8.000 operational and international managers from major businesses recruiting and/or working with graduates, in 23 countries. The majority of the companies polled recruit at least 50 young graduates annually. Managers polled are invited to identify their top 15 universities in terms of employability of young graduates.
While academic excellence and internationality maintain their strong position as driving factors for the recruiters’ choice of universities, specialization, practical relevance, soft skills and digital literacy are recognised as being of increasing importance for the selection of one university over another, thus opening up the field for future candidates, according to the survey.
